Public Safety

Protecting the health, safety and welfare of the people is the primary responsibility of state government. Too often public safety priorities have been shuffled to the back of the line. Revenue that should have been used for first responders, law enforcement and corrections are diverted to lesser priorities. Public safety appropriations should be given top priority is state spending.
