Health Care

Washington politicians, including President Obama, continue to overstep their constitutional bounds by requiring the citizens in Oklahoma to purchase health insurance. Again, states for too many years have not forced their constitutional rights by protecting their citizens against an over aggressive federal government. I refuse to lay down and allow our Federal Government to continue to abuse our Constitution. It's the reason I drafted legislation for Oklahoman's to opt-out of Obamacare. Once again, state leaders will be the ones that will blaze a trail for restoration in this nation by continuing supporting and drafting freedom legislation.

It's my deep-hearted belief that less government and more free market solutions will be the solution to our current healthcare problems. Just like I did when drafting legislation to opt out of Real ID, Oklahoman's will once again have a chance to lead in restoring our constitutional rights nationwide. It will not happen unless Oklahoma has a leader who not only understands the power of state's rights, but has a proven track record of standing in the gap between an oppressive federal government and the state of Oklahoma.

This legislation is a ballot initiative which will amend the Oklahoma Constitution to protect all kinds of health care systems that could lawfully exist in the state.

• Prohibit any law or rule from directly or indirectly compelling any person or employer to participate in any health care system;
• Allow any person or employer to pay directly for health care services without paying any penalties or fine;
• Permit a health care provider to provide direct purchased health services without paying any penalties or fines;
• Stipulate that the purchase or sale of private health insurance shall not be prohibited.

As Governor, I will stand in the gap between the citizens of Oklahoma and an ever-growing Federal government... We will stop Obama Care. My goal is to continue the fight to restore our Constitutional Liberties and to protect Oklahomans' right to decide what is best for their family with "No Strings Attached."

It is time to stop Nationalized Health Care (Socialized Healthcare) in Oklahoma.
